Violent screams of silence in her ears, as she stepped within the empty quiet. The echo of her feet upon the dust carpet seemed so loud she stopped short in her tracks, thin frame folded forward and a delecate hand swept over the thin sheet of time to uncover a shiny surface in which a dark haired girl of 17 could be seen pearing expectantly back upon her, her dark eyes critical. Lean knuckles rapped the floor breifly in an anxious beat before she stood once more, glancing back over her shoulder.

Someone, something was in the mall. Leo walked among the mall, his head down as he leaned down upon the skeleton of a dead man checking the bag of the man and wallet for cash or i.d. He found nothing as he took the cash and threw the wallet away. He wore a black trenchcoat over his head with black pants and Italian shoes with a black collar shirt on. He also had the shoulder holster on that held his handgun.

Tall figure slipped sideways towards a shattered window in a gloomy looking food store. Just to be out of range for anyone entering the building she would be able to see them first that way. Her breathing fell silent and the few crunches of glass ceased. Dark eyes fell upon the far corner, waiting to fall on the figure of the thing that had caught her attention earlier.
Slowly gathering thoughts overwhelmed and grew in her mind, getting much more frightening and more out of the ordinary than before. She didn't think that it could of just been a rat looking for food not the huge monster that was hunting for her maybe just round that corner.
As her mind grew more restless the sound did too, it was nearing that corner her eyes layed intently on. Her black jacket bent at the elbow as she rested her hand on a shelf she was crouched down near.

Leo's head snapped up as silently he followed the noice, and smell he had felt. Rounding the corner of a food store he saw it. A monstous thing, mutated and beyond shape or form that he would be able to speak of.
Leo, with utmost skill, drew out the handgun that he used and leveled it at the head of the monster. But he also knew something else. Leo was a powerful person, his mind screaming of another who was being hunted by the thing.
Rage filled Leo as he fired off round after round into the thing. The head of the monster bursted, brains and blood going everywhere as Leo lowered the gun with each shot, shooting the monster in the chest, the stomach, groin, and legs.

((ok the monster part was just like fiction... but ermm o...k))
Dark brown curls coiled gently down her shoulder, they swayed and flicked as she began to twist turning back and retreating deeper into the shop finding another place to settle. Removing her gun from its holster in one easy motion, right wrist straightened. The gun flashed. She targetted past a row of shelves laiden with dusty jars and cans. Though she did not fire, just remained ready.
The sound had intensed and a few gun shots were heard menecing the huge corridor. It was a person, obviously but maybe they were dangerous she wouldn't risk anything at the rate they were firing and being careless about thier own noice they probably were less worried about getting hurt than her.

[[sorry bout that. Was sleepy]]
As the dead thing fell to the floor making a large thump, Leo cursed himself as he rose, recovering the hood about his head and putting the pistol back in its holster. His senses allured and intesified by the dead he felt another one around close, and by its scent, a pleasent aura that attracted him, that indeed it was a female.
Leo moved now silently, crouching like the stalking beast as he moved past the dead thing and stopped against the wall, breathing heavily, but not making a sound as the steady beat of his heart filled his ears until he calmed himself.

A bead of sweat ran slowly down her temple, brows furrowed in concentration. Eyes in slits her breath was sharp and quick she rose slowly to her feet. Gun out stretched in her right hand. Mean while her let hand grasped a can, it had lost its label so she could not know the contents of this silver casket actually she wished not to know, food made her stomache turn she was so hungry. Skin wrapped tightly round her bones in her face, dark hollows around her eyes. She stepped backwards her machetti hung tightly to her waist.
The can she was holding, she let drop on the floor, eyes flashed to where it clanged onto the floor. Giving the culprit in the halls some indication of where she was, she couldn't wait to find her place in the earth any longer. Quickly lean legs let her frame dart to the other side of the store away from the main entrance, springing up and over the cashiers counter. Landing next to a smartly dressed corpse she turned her face away grimacing at the smell. Gun out stretched forward towards the entrance. A small wavering sound echoed from her throat merely reaching the air around her. She hesitated. The let a louder sound follow.
Show yourself!
It echoed in the room, loud and ghostly. Coming back to her several times, she listened past the repeats of her own voice waiting to hear some responce or reaction.

The feel of a barrel of a gun pressed against the back of her skull as he grabbed the hand that held the gun. With a quick and praticed movement and wiht power unshown in is lithe frame he pulled her arm behind her and pushed it against her back and up.
"Right here."
He said coldly in her ear as he made her raise with the inclination of raising her arm. Leo was ex-military and had trained to become one of the best there was in the military. His past was nothing to him no more and he thought more and more of his survival then others.
That meant if he wanted, he would shoot her brains out all over the cashier's desk if needed and he wouldn't do it without guilt.

Bastard!. Get off before you feel this blade. SLICE THROUGH YOUR FUCKING Dick!
Yes she had her own defence he may have her gunning arm. But ironicly her left hand was caught up at her waist near his lower abdomen, waiting patiently for the quick thrust and slice of her knuckle dusters blade.

Rather then let her go, he smiled slightly. This was quite interesting. But he rather liked having his manhood and would rather not go through the pain of it being crudely cut off. So, slowly he let go of her arm and stepped two steps back and put his pistol in his shoulder holster.
"I apologise."
He said coldly, unemotionally.

Turning sharply, rather miffed at having been twisted and held up not at her own will. She aimed her gun at his head, the corner of her lip twitched as she imagined blowing his brains out. But lowered her arm left hand rubbing her elbow, it was sore at having been twisted uncomfortably and rather forcefully. Thinking this wasn't really like her, finding simple pleasures in fantasizing about blowing someones brains out was not at all her.
Eyes trailed down his front, sweeping his clothes and eyeing his weapons warily. She pushed her gun gently back into it's sleeping place on her waist. Pushing her lower back up against the counter.

Oh how he could see as she thought of blowing his mind out. Leo smiled at the thought as he closed his eyes edging her to shoot him. But as she didn't, he reopened his eyes and looked into her eyes, piercing her with his cold and steel grey eyes. They only broke off to look at her figure, before back to her eyes.
"My name is Leo."
He said as he bowed his head to her, his voice holding a soft French accent that was almost hidden.

Eyes stuck on his own, watching the colour change as he moved slightly in the light. She saw her self in the reflection, peering back and slightly distorted. Her dark features showing some sort of italian back ground though she didn't really know or want to know much of her history. She prefered to think of her self as a forward thinker, rather than being stuck in what was.
The name pronounced of his lips echoed loudly in her head, forging itself into her mind whilst she sketched his face and clothes as to remember him. Her own tongue whipped and lick the air forming the simple syllable of her own name, nothing more.
Lia.
Shoulders relaxed softly letting her lithe arms swing loosly by the curve of her small hips. She smiled in the anxious uncomfortable feeling of meeting a new person, always looking for things to say, some familiar subject they could both respond too. But ironicly him being the first she had come across in quite some time, her mind remained a blank sheet no words or pictures stood out in her head. She struggled to think.
He was older than her in his twenties most definatly, much stronger. She hadn't quite reached her 18th winter yet, a few adolesent touches to her face and figure remained, just touching adulthood by the fringes. Not too say she couldn't cope, she was quite capable on her own.

Even under the black clothes, his slim muscle toned body could seen as it showed in his tenseness and the way he carried himself with confidence. Leo was the big boy on the block and he had learned to beat down any who come at him. Humans were no exception having killed several to survive.
"Do you have shelter?"
His mind swerved to the thoughts of survival at the moment. He hadn't seen any place to rest since he had been at his apartment. He slept anywhere when he wanted to and he hadn't made himself slip into slumber for thrity six hours, causing him to be fatigued and tired, not at his prime.

Listening to his question, taking a moment to take heed of what he had said. She could of only think of one place she had been in this desolate city. It was near the boarders, a huge majestic house left broken and lifeless. Mind wondering back to the days where exhaustion had come to its peak, she had come across the house in mindless wonder.
I can only think of one place, its near the outskirts. A few miles from here.
